# 278: Household Cavalry Musical Ride

The finale of our day at the Horse of the Year Show was the Household Cavalry Musical Ride. It was amazing, I asked Jodie what she thought of it and she said "That was totally wicked!!" We also saw Pippa Funnel win her event; a Pony Club final; a lot of horses and ponies, and did some horsey shopping! We had front row seats - this was unexpected, as the tickets stated Row D - but when we got there, there was no row A, B or C! Ace!

And yes I know the blog numbers are out of sequence, but its been a very busy week, and in my haste to get the blog up to date from Monday onwards, I omitted to download images from the compact camera from Wednesday's HOYS! So this is Wednesday's entry :0} Thank you and goodnight! lol!

Jodie studies yet another horse book! Even with the many horse books she already has, she still keeps finding breeds we haven't heard of before!

# 154: Model horses

Jodie went on an animation workshop last summer as part of a summer school for able, gifted and talented students. She had animation software and a freestanding webcam for Christmas and there's plenty of scope with her herd of various toy and model horses for stop frame animation. Here, two Breyer models stand near an artist's mannekin after taking part in a short. I liked the shadows cast by reflected evening light from the kitchen. Post processed with a bi-colour filter in Nik Color Efex Pro 3 plug-in.

# 30: Here come the girls

I visited Croots Farm this afternoon with Jodie, she likes to fuss the shire horses, I like to take a few photos (really? ...no kidding!) and we both like a cake in the tea shop. I was surprised to see the sheep coming up the track - they had come across the field and I realised they just duck under the lower fence rail - that's why there's lots of wool caught on it, they just ducked under and kept on coming! Then I pointed the camera at them and they stopped - was it the sound of the shutter or were they just waiting for the rest of the girls to catch up?!
