# 69: Spring is on its way

I visited Darley Park briefly this afternoon, the sunshine held the promise of spring, crocuses (crocii?) were in full bloom and the sky was beautiful in blue.

# 68: Cafe catch-up

I made time on Wednesday to meet with some friends for a quick catch-up over coffee etc. It was great to see them and well worth the flying visit. I hope I can stay longer to chat more next time.

# 66: Walk this way

This image was taken at the NEC near Birmingham, venue for the Focus on Imaging show which has become an annual pilgrimage for me in recent years. Its like being a kid in a sweet shop, looking at cameras, lenses, gadgets, accessories, studio lighting, wedding albums, frames... its just amazing. Last year was a fact finding mission, looking into software, insurance and a few other things. This year I was on a different mission - I was submitting a panel of ten mounted images for assessment by the RPS for a Licentiateship distinction. Tense just doesn't describe it! Waiting for my panel to be put up in front of 6 judges for scrutiny... But it was worth it. I passed :0)
I am now Nicky Heppenstall LRPS, and I await my certificate in the post shortly!

The successful panel for LRPS.

# 65: 1-2-3 Whoosh!

This is my niece Nathalie - my daughter Jodie showed her how to do the whoosh thing. See 46/52
It works better with longer hair I think, but we had a laugh with it - even Suzanne had a go, but trying to capture two beautiful girls whooshing at the same time is a major challenge!

Goodbye magnolia forever... your days are numbered!

# 63: Sunset with vapour trails

We get an amazing variety of sunsets over Vicarswood and I regularly hang my cam out the loftroom window at arm's length to capture them ;0)

# 62: Generations

You just can't beat Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup. It's long been a favourite of mine, its my son's favourite, I know at least one other person who states the same, and we always have it in.

I bought a modern Organic version to photograph next to one of the commemorative tins for a weekly themed project, this week's theme being Generations.

# 60: Caaaarrrrpet

The day finally came... when the stair carpet was finally laid :-D
The kids thought we were mad to be so excited, but its been a very long time coming!
(The title for this entry is a long-standing joke between hubby and I from when we bought 'our' first carpet in the previous house.)

# 59: Pony Love

I came to bed tonight to find a little love notes from my pony-mad daughter Jodie :0)
And a little group of her miniature flocked collectable ponies as well. Jodie regularly snuggles in my spot for a while before getting into her own bed to settle down for sleep. The note at the back says "To most lovely Mum in world I heart U in horses" The one in front has a detailed drawing and some writing inside. She loves horses, and she loves me too, she is my Golden Child. Wow...

Jodie and Blue

Jodie has been riding since she was 7, over half her life. Just. Ownership is costly, but she's learning life skills and life lessons...
