# 8: How low can you go?

In-between clearing half my workroom to take up the flooring we had a chance to play around - Jodie and I both lying on the floor - a cat's eye view? You can see a 'dip' in the flooring where the herring bone pattern meets the tile pattern, this is because the screed on which the vinyl was laid has failed and we've swept up the crumbliness that was crunchie underfoot.
Clearing the room and rolling back the vinyl means we can patch the screed and clean the underside of the vinyl to prevent mould. A plastic pipe feeding the radiators you can see in the right of this image failed and the water came up through the concrete. Having a handy hubby is just great - we can do all the remedial works ourselves and he is routing copper pipe to the rad instead, to eliminate any risk of a recurrence. So, my freezer is in the conservatory (pantry floor affected also), and half my stuff is in the lounge and dining room in boxes.
No.1 Son is complaining about the family pc being in pieces, while dear daughter is just doing things other than her animations and favourite on-line games ;0)  I'm ignoring the stress factor, and anyway I have chocolate!

Jodie and Blue

Jodie has been riding since she was 7, over half her life. Just. Ownership is costly, but she's learning life skills and life lessons...
